EPISODE 45: How To Get Over Your Fear of Getting The Pay That You Deserve

It’s time to look beyond the misconception that the price of your services or your products have to do with your value as a person or a being.

This week’s episode focuses on what’s keeping people from setting a rate/fee for their service or setting a price for their product that they deserve and how they can work to break it.

Key takeaways:

  • The common misconception is that the price of a service or product has to do with the value of the person offering it. Yet the truth is, the worth of a human being is completely irrelevant and autonomous to what he/she charges.
  • You are the universe. There’s no way to put a value on you.
  • When setting your rates, set them according to the market, and not according to your insecurities. Not even your ego.
  • Your worth as a human being has nothing to do with what you charge at all. From that standpoint, you can charge what you’d like to charge, and of course, live with the value.
  • A quick exercise to help you get over your hesitation in setting a rate that you deserve: Double the value of your actual rate, then double it again. Say that final value to yourself several times and declare that value when asked. Allow your mind to get comfortable with that rate. So when you make an increase from your original rate, however slight, it will be an action that will not surprise you.

EPISODE 44: Enhance Your Own Leadership Through The Leaders Who Inspire You

As a leader, knowing who other leaders inspire you is important. The ones who inspire you, emulate the values that are already inherent in you and to establish true leadership, you have to lead from your core convictions.

In this episode, learn a quick exercise on how you can collate the top leadership traits you are drawn to from other leaders and a few questions as well to guide you in adopting those traits.

Key takeaways:

  • Leaders face the truth. Therefore, when in need of change and action, they get real with themselves and with their environment.
  • Thereafter, they are able to make decisions that arise from something pure and honest, resulting to better outcomes.
  • Leaders are inspired by other leaders. They see leadership in others because there’s leadership in themselves.
  • Identify the traits of the leaders who inspire you and get real with the actions that you need to adopt and amplify those traits.
  • If you are able to identify inspiring traits from other leaders, then you yourself share the same traits. The challenge for you then is how you can amplify and strengthen those traits in you.

EPISODE 43: Actual Results vs Perceived Results: How To Manage Them To Improve Your Business

Are you and your business visible online? And if you are, are you making the most of the various platforms to direct more clients your way? And it’s not just that. Presence and visibility needs to be supported by the actual results of your work. How do you work on those two at the same time?

This episode tackles two leadership domains that you need to manage well: one is the Actual Results you achieve when serving your clients and the other is Perceived Results, which is how you are perceived by others. Listen in and start reinforcing your business’ strengths.

Key takeaways:

  • In managing your business, oftentimes, the focus is placed on getting or providing actual results (Actual Results). Yet to further improve your business, you should also consider your visibility in the industry (Perceived Results) which can create potential additional business for you.
  • Find out if you are being referred around and how often. Referrals are indicators of how others value the work you do and how useful you can be for others.
  • Engage with people as you work on delivering actual results and request testimonials from people who have been satisfied with your work. At any rate, most people who have experienced high satisfaction with your business will volunteer to provide testimonials for you. This supports your work by establishing your image and your business.
  • Learn from Tony Robbins. His visibility online (Perceived Results) are very high, therefore, if nobody knows him they can look him up online as he already exists as a high profile person.
  • If somebody’s never heard of you, increase and improve your online presence: work on increasing the number of your Twitter followers, Facebook followers/fans, number of Facebook likes, number of guest appearances on podcasts, providing free online content. All those things add up to being higher perceived results.

EPISODE 42: How Do You Pave The Way as The Leader of Your Business and Your People?

This episode is recorded from one of my talks on leadership. Leaders are meant to pave the way for the rest. As a CEO, that is your ultimate task. Both the brunt and rewards of your company’s performance are on your shoulders. How do you then clear the path and set the stage for your business and for your people?

Here’s a quick view on some of what’s discussed in this episode: The better way of taking responsibility, increase your profitability by increasing your confidence, find out my simple rule on how you can move your business forward through making a request/promise, why you should increase your empathy for yourself, why you should think weirder, not bigger. And why you should stop wasting time working on your weaknesses. (This is crazy, I know, but it works.) I hope this episode helps you out in affirming the leader within you.

Key takeaways:

  • You want to find more business opportunities? Think weirder.
  • Reconsider the things that don’t make sense. Just because it didn’t make sense in the past doesn’t mean they don’t make sense now to the future.
  • You’ve been told to go make your weaknesses stronger.
  • Challenge that and instead, get weaker in them. Get even crappier at what your weaknesses are. Just be don’t just be shit in, be absolute shit in it.
  • Identify what those weaknesses are and then identify your core strengths. And then every bit of energy that you have been spending trying to get better with your weaknesses? Give it up. Take that energy and put it towards your strengths and become exceptional in those.
  • Bring more empathy to you first, and ultimately, you’ll build a gentle company with a culture of kindness and connection a.k.a. love.
  • The number one component in sales is love. It transcends all the techniques. So why not build companies that are built on a foundation of love? The whole universe is based on love.

EPISODE 39: How Leaders Find Their Perfect Customer

Getting in depth with your customers’ definition is one of the critical characteristics of highly successful business leaders.

In this episode, let me share with you some of the questions I have asked myself that helped me get clear on who my perfect customer is.

Key takeaways:

  • When you’re finding yourself having to educate your customers, you’re probably with the wrong avatar…a wrong person to serve.
  • It is every Leader and CEO’s responsibility to know who their businesses are serving. Getting in depth with your customers’ definition is one of the key characteristics of highly successful business leaders.
  • The people who make your heart feel lightest and you feel good connecting with will give you a clue on who your customers are. The ones that you feel like it’s a lot of work? They’re probably not your customers.
  • Oftentimes, how we earn and spend our money represent our values. To find out your perfect customers and consumers, recognise the values behind their earning and spending habits, and determine if you can speak to those values. It helps if your values drive business decision making.
  • Your perfect customer is usually you.

EPISODE 35: Challenge Your Thinking on Ancient Wisdom

Most of our presuppositions are rooted from what’s taught to us by conventional institutions, the mainstream media, and current society. Unfortunately, most of these presuppositions are limiting…and most of these are BS.

Today’s episode focuses on ancient wisdom and how they are still relevant in our NOW. More importantly, I got some questions here to help you challenge your thinking around it. Questions that I hope will not only unleash more questions to uncover truths, but more importantly, to help you live a fulfilled life.

Key takeaways:

  • Ancient wisdom transcends modern wisdom. What applies then, still applies now.
  • Reconsider where you are getting your wisdom. The conventional education that people receive tends to be lacking in promoting real connection with our environment and connection with all other living beings. This connection is what heals the gap that allows hate and violence to breed among living beings.
  • Entrepreneurs who are connected with the universe are able to feel a sense of symbiotic connection to everything around them, enabling to build better businesses for the future – businesses that nurtures the planet and everything living in it, as opposed to businesses that harm and depletes resources.
  • Entrepreneurs should realize that time is omnidirectional. It is always NOW. Therefore, as beings existing in any given point in time, we are timeless. And when we find ourselves in thoughts or doing activities that distracts us from time, those are cues that aligns us with our very own essence of timelessness. Create businesses following those cues and you will find that you will have greater energy and joy in them. Then your business no longer becomes work, it becomes your inspiration.

EPISODE 29: What Spiritual Entrepreneurs Should Consider When Doing Business

For most of the entrepreneurs in the spiritual community, the challenge is how to market their businesses without getting all “businessy”. It is as if, they have to stay only on ONE side of the line and to practice the conventional marketing strategies is being untrue to themselves.

Today’s episode is a recording from one of my live talks on bridging business and spirituality. And if you are among those who are confused and struggling with this mindset, this may help shed some light for you.

Key takeaways:

  • Physical marketing comes from a standpoint of what we normally know about marketing and its dimensions. Esoteric marketing is when aspects of spirituality serve as your vantage point when you grow your business.
  • Our world is expanding wherein businesses serve as reflections of man’s own evolution into becoming heart-centered individuals.
  • The businesses we create become our extensions and representations.
  • The problem with the spiritual community is they value spirituality more than the physicality. The physicality is just as sacred as the energetics and when you get that you’ll start honoring the physicality of actual marketing and positioning.

EPISODE 25: How Self Awareness and Transformation Apply to High Performing Entrepreneurs

Today’s episode is recorded from my home in Byron Bay with an intimate and incredible group of people throwing questions in the room about business, transformation, self-awareness, and how it all applies to high performing entrepreneurs. Listen in to hear a different perspective – from how to approach key influencers to building a tribe of raving fans, and more.

Key Takeaways:

  • A song is not a song unless there’s a space between the notes. And I feel that life is the same way. Otherwise, if we’re just busy, then our life is just noise and we’re not actually enjoying listening to our own song.
  • The new type of manifesting is not about making anything happen. It’s about receiving the ones due for you.
  • Everything you want is already done your job is to receive it and see it.
  • When approaching Key Influencers, keep in mind that they get approached all the time. Instead of asking for what they can do for you, try the other way around. Ask them what they need next in their business and try to support that if you can. This mindset and action might consequently be better in terms of getting a response or a business opportunity.
  • Collaboration is a necessary component for us to actually go back to ourselves as true Human Beings. We are done with the age of working separately from each other. We need to stop looking at what separates us and look at what unifies us and what unifies us is that we all live on this Earth as humans. We all want love and the collaboration allows that.
  • The thing is most of humanity has business and spirituality as separate categories when they are exactly the same. Your business is just as spiritual as your meditation practice. Your business is just a spiritual as your walks on the beach. So, when you realize that there’s no separation between the two of them your business becomes an opportunity for you to grow.
